ABOUT ME
DESIGNING. BUILDING. PROBLEM-SOLVING.
My name is Aviva Hurvitz and I am currently a second-year master’s student at the University of Pennsylvania pursuing an MSE in Integrated Product Design program. I recently graduated from Penn with a BSE in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics.
I have always had a passion for design. Growing up, my favorite toys were Legos and building blocks, and I was constantly creating unique structures. My course selections at University have married engineering, design, business, and fine arts, allowing me to analyze the customer across multiple disciplines, define potential pain points and opportunities, and transform those opportunities into reality. My skills include graphic design (Adobe CS), UX/UI design (Figma, Sketch), rapid prototyping, problem-solving, human-centered design, cloud-based computing, design research, CAD (SolidWorks, Rhino), 3D printing, and data analysis (Matlab, Excel). My breadth of skills has allowed me to excel in product design and strategic problem-solving.
